I believe that movement should be refreshing and energizing, and exercise should be enjoyable. In my classes, the focus is inward – more on how it feels and less on how it looks. A space without judgement, everyone is welcome. I’m honored to be a part of your movement journey.

My movement journey began when my mom enrolled me at the wee age of three to study at Jean M. Wong School of Ballet in Hong Kong. Upon moving to BC, Canada, my dance training expanded to include tap, contemporary, jazz, musical theatre and hip hop.

A graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Food Nutrition and Health, I now work full time in arts administration and teach dance and fitness classes “in my spare time”. What started off as a hobby job has quickly now become a great passion and career.

I have my Fitness Instructor Specialist certification from Canfitpro, certifications in TRX Suspension Training and Barre Fitness and am also the Head Coach for the Special Olympics British Columbia Coquitlam Rhythmic Gymnastics program. I am committed to furthering my knowledge and have completed continuing education courses in Active Aging, Stress Resiliency, Fit Pregnancy, and more.

In my spare time, you’ll find me hanging out with my bunny, Peach (who sometimes makes an appearance in my virtual classes!), tending to my ever-growing indoor plant collection, or relaxing in the tub.

Based in Vancouver, BC, I teach in-person and virtual dance and fitness classes throughout Metro Vancouver. Virtual dance and fitness classes and recordings are available worldwide.

Class descriptions

MOVE with Jessie
Pre-Recorded Virtual Class

The signature online class. Each class consists of a quick equipment-free cardio blast, exercises that tone and strengthen the upper body, and cap off with mat work with an emphasis on core strength. All classes will end with a mindful stretch. Light weights (dumbbells, water bottles, soup cans) and a mat recommended. Classes are 45 to 60 minutes long.

A pay-what-you-can class, decide how much you want to and can afford each week. The recording will be sent out on Wednesdays at 9AM and made available for 4 days so you can sweat at your convenience.

STRETCH with Jessie
Pre-Recorded Virtual Class

The feel good class. This class is for anyone who wants to relieve tight muscles and work on gently increasing their range of motion. Targeting major and minor muscle groups from glutes and hip flexors to shoulders and neck, this relaxing class will leave you feeling stretched and unstressed.  The class is approximately 40 minutes long. 

A pay-what-you-can class, decide how much you want to and can afford each week. The recording will be sent out on Saturdays at 9AM and made available for 7 days so you can stretch at your convenience.

Barre Classic
Barre Fitness Port Moody

The original Barre Fitness™ program! A high energy class that emphasizes the foundations of Barre Fitness™, with a strong focus on postural strength, alignment, breath and muscle action. A more basic approach to Barre Fitness™ classes but equally as challenging. This in-person class is open to all levels and recommended for new clients.

Barre Fitness Port Moody

An exceptional 45-minute regime of ballet, pilates, strength and flexibility training using a ballet barre. This total body conditioning technique has been intertwined to create an intense workout, guaranteed to transform and sculpt your entire body. The classes are choreographed to the hottest music in a fun, supportive and high-energy environment. Open to all levels.

Pre-recorded classes are sent to your inbox at 8 AM and are viewable for 7 days.

pilates ON DEMAND
